The lodge is situated on 73 acres of beatiful African countryside, 25 of which are surounded by electric fence – small wildlife – oribi, duiker monkeys, guinea fowl,etc. Great walks / hiking – refreshing drinks in the pub and a pool to cool down afterwards.

General Info:
Watervale is situated about three kms from Inchanga Station, home of the famous Steam Rail Route. Exciting historic rail trips can be undertaken and flea markets are held, with vendors selling all sorts of interesting crafts and wares, mainly hand made.
A stone’s throw away, visitors will find the “Valley of a Thousand Hills” Route, along which the well known Comrades Marathon is run. It is one of the most picturesque drives in the world and is just 5 mins away from Watervale Lodge. It is in these hills where Zulu people still live in their traditional huts. The views are breathtaking – to be savoured slowly.
